The Neema Mission Centre was started in 2010 by Pastor Stephen Dhairawa with support from Reverend D Kevin Jones of the Methodist Church in the UK, Reverend Remmie Fredrick Mufamba, and the Methodist Church Iganga Central. Neema Mission Centre is dedicated to providing nutrition, education, support and protection for the impoverished and unfortunate of the Iganga area of Uganda, especially the widows and orphans of AIDS/HIV.
Pastor Dhairawa Stephen
The current Executive Director of the Neema Mission Centre, Pastor Stephen Dhairawa comes from humble beginnings as an AIDS orphan on the streets of Kampala. While still in school he found himself called to ministry and after graduation he allied himself with the Methodist church of Uganda.
He founded the Neema Mission Centre with the goal of providing nutrition, education, housing and the word of God to underprivileged and disenfranchised children. Neema Mission Centre started in January 2010 with only three children and has expanded to 402 children today.
Pastor Stephen Dhairawa lives in the city of Iganga with his wife Nakato and his daughters Anne Marie and Kristine. His wife is expecting a baby boy in June 2020. Neema Mission Centre is in a impoverished rural area near Iganga.
